China held a massive military parade in central Beijing on Sep 3rd, 2025 to mark the 80th anniversary of its victory in World War II, pledging the country’s commitment to peaceful development in a world still fraught with turbulence and uncertainties.
As the grand military parade went live at 9 a.m., TP colleagues across departments put aside their ongoing tasks and gathered in the conference room, creating a warm and focused atmosphere. Everyone were glued to the screen, eager not to miss any key point. They all felt a mix of pride, solemnity, responsibility and historical reverence.
The parade was not only a display of our national strength, but also a powerful lesson in history. Chinese people made a major contribution to the salvation of human civilization and the defense of world peace with immense sacrifice in the resistance war against Japanese aggression, a significant part of the World Anti-Fascist War. The victory was a historic turning point for the Chinese nation emerging from grave crises in modern times to embark on a journey toward great rejuvenation. It also marked a major turning point in the course of world history.
“Justice prevails”, “Peace prevails” and “The people prevail”. The troops roared out the slogan in unison , shaking the air with resolve. 45 formations (echelons) were reviewed, and most of the weapons and equipment made their debut for the first time. They showcase the military’s latest achievements in enhancing political loyalty and improving political work through rectification. It also showed the People’s Liberation Army’s determination and powerful strength to resolutely safeguard national sovereignty, security, and development interests, and to firmly maintain world peace.
As the Chinese saying, ”Might may rule the moment, but right prevails forever.” Xi urged all countries to adhere to the path of peaceful development, firmly safeguard world peace and tranquility, and work together to build a community with a shared future for humanity. “We sincerely hope that all countries will draw wisdom from history, value peace, jointly advance world modernization and create a better future for humanity,” he said.
